Avengers: Beyond Earth’s MIghtiest

Commissioned by WhatNot, an online marketplace for collectibles, this comic had a fascinating challenge at its center:

One of the supporting characters was a real-life ordinary citizen, selected through a contest held at New York Comic Con. But the script had to be written before the winner was announced. So, I was tasked with developing a story in which the winner could be plugged in and would work with the story, regardless of age, physical condition, disabilites or any other factors.

Once the winner was announced, I received information about her biography, interests and personalities, and wrote her into the story with greater specificity.
