The Chicago OEMC has an ongoing relationship with Marvel Comics to produce safety-oriented material featuring Ironheart, a Chicago-based superhero.

I have worked with Marvel to write comic books, posters, digital materials and more, all featuring Ironheart and focusing on different aspects of safety, including summer safety, storm protection, winterizing your home and more. Some of these materials center around a story of Ironheart fighting a disaster-themed villain while weaving in safety tips, while others are purely non-fiction, providing Chicago citizens with valuable safety information.
