Hollow Heart

Writer/Letterer: Paul Allor
Artist/Colorist: Paul Tucker
Cover Artists: David Mack, Rye Hickman
Editor: Adrian Wassel

Once EL was a man. Now he is a monstrosity--a tortured jumble of organs in a hulking biosuit. Mateo doesn't think EL is a monster, he might even love him. But will their relationship set EL free, or tighten his shackles?

Hollow Heart reunites Tet creators Paul Allor and Paul Tucker for a queer monster love story about the choices we make between giving our loved ones what we think they need.

Hollow Heart takes a Frankenstein story that deals with our (in)humanity and puts queer glasses on it, making you feel the nuances through queer tremors. It fathoms in you from the dark moody art and fable narrations and it hits right in the guts.”
-- ComicWatch

“This is a comic written with a passion that rarely comes out in any medium, and I’m beyond engaged with this story and whatever Allor plans to write in the future.”
-- monkeysfightingrobots

“There are genuinely touching and at times heartbreaking moments amongst the horror and carnage.”
-- Big Comic Page

Hollow Heart was a six-issue queer monster love story from Vault Comics.

It won the 2024 Indiana Author Award in the genre category. Every other winner and nominee of the Indiana Author Awards that year was a prose work rather than a comic book.
